I really think that is going to be too expensive. Im thinking of just putting portable space heaters in each room (Bedrooms and Living room). But I was wondering if there may be a better idea out there.
P.S. I rent so any hardwiring may be out of the question.

If the cost is not inhibitive I think you will find oil filled heaters work great and the baseboard type is very handy. I believe you will find the wiring not a problem but always use a circuit breaker type plug in for protection both ways.

The portable heaters may well overload the electric capacity of the circuits in the house, and kerosene heaters stink and can be dangerous.
Your best bet, move.

I personally would just supplement the oil heating with electric heaters
