It depends on the type of space heater.

I commonly go camping in my 5th wheel the winter--and winters here are REALLY COLD. I use a space heater(s) because the electricity is paid for with the campsite.

I found that the regular electric space heater (with the glowing wires) terribly drying. I would have a sore throat the next morning. Those type of space heaters can also catch bedding on fire.

I much rather prefer the electric oil-filled radiator style space heater. They take a bit longer to heat the room (no fan) but they keep the space warm and at an even temperature. They also have no glowing wires to catch anything on fire.

Definitely. Especially those who suffer from athsma.
In experience, when i was in a room with the heater on i got sick and had a really weird stomach ache and the next morning i woke up and felt a bit dizzy and then i got sick.

I wouldn't recommend leaving the heater on-- it's dangerous for both humans and the environment. Just have more supplies of blankets.

Only if your desperate though open up the windows while you are letting the heater on so than all the gas goes.

Or you can turn it on for a while and then set your alarm clock and wake up and turn it off.

Good luck keeping warm in winter.
