My home heater runs but very little warm air comes out of the vents. This is a new home?

I’ve had the heating company out and all they said was to open the registers to the center, which I did. I also installed a programmable thermostat and keep it set at 68 when it is running. My home seems colder than 68 all the time.

Is there any such thing as a portable heater?
